Sustainability

Bilad Swim started as a passion business by just a normal gal, who takes pleasure in the beauty of our beaches, oceans, and the overall natural environment. Our dedication to valuing our planet and recognizing our responsibility for its future, motivates us to produce eco-friendly items that you'll cherish for a long time.

Our commitment extends to developing and enhancing every aspect of our operations, that is why we have 100% switched to using rPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) fabric in all of our production starting 2024. We are committed to minimizing our ecological footprint and contributing to the long-term betterment of the environment for future generations.

rPET - is made from raw materials, such as recycled plastic water bottles. With the processes of cleaning and melting the existing plastic bottles/boxes, then spinning them back into new polyester fibers. These fibers are used to produce recycled polyester fabric.

Using sustainable rPET fabric is an excellent choice when produced with precision. Manufacturing rPET fabric consumes approximately 33-53% less energy compared to producing virgin polyester. The increasing demand for recycled polyester is effectively preventing plastic materials, particularly from sources like water bottles, from entering our oceans and landfills. rPET only requires 85% less energy 65% fewer emissions: 50-65% less Carbon and Sulphur Dioxide Requires 90% less water.
